In 2021, I decided to try Android and switched to the Google operating system, leaving iOS, which I had used since 2011. Over the past 4 years, I have changed two devices, and on my last POCO F5 Pro with not the weakest hardware, I was overtaken by despair. A lot of ads that were turned off before the last update, but now they’ve stopped, podlagivaniya and a mediocre camera made me think about buying an iPhone. And then, by the way, there was news about the release of the iPhone SE 4 (or 16E), and I realized that this is what I need.
A high-resolution camera, a high-quality screen and a powerful processor made me seriously think about buying this Apple smartphone, even though the company has not even introduced it yet. However, there are so many leaks about what the iPhone SE 4 will be like that it will not be difficult to get an idea of the new device.
What is the processor in the iPhone SE 4?
The first thing that became the most important thing for me in the future of the iPhone SE 2025 is its filling. The device will get the same processor as in the iPhone 16-Apple A18. Do you know what this means? Top-end performance is guaranteed for several years to come. Console games, neural networks, heavy programs, photo processing and much more will fly on this device.
In addition, it, unlike the same iPhone 15, will get support for Apple Intelligence. I’m not saying that the Apple neural network must be turned on immediately after purchase, but this immediately indicates that there is at least 8 GB of RAM and long-term support for new updates. Apple will pump up its AI with new features from update to update, and almost all of them will go to the iPhone SE 4.
An iPhone with a good camera
The iPhone SE 4 will use a single camera with a resolution of 48 MP. It would seem that in 2025 this looks like a spit in the direction of fans of the company and those who want to buy this smartphone, but I absolutely do not see any problem in this. Especially after Android, where there were three cameras in each of my devices, but I only used one.
It is better to have one lens, but it takes such high-quality pictures that you simply will not be able to notice the absence of others. In the iPhone SE 4, Apple uses the main camera from the iPhone 16, which means that the smartphone will shoot really top-end photos and videos. In addition, I bet that due to the high resolution, Apple will fasten a double zoom to the iPhone SE 4 without losing quality, as is implemented in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16. So do not rush to write off the device from the accounts, it will still give odds to current models.
iPhone with USB-C
Another important point for me when buying an iPhone SE 4 is the presence of a USB-C connector. I’m so used to being able to charge both my smartphone and laptop with a single wire that I wouldn’t even consider buying the still-current and inexpensive iPhone 14.
In this regard, convenience is above all else, which means that there is no desire to mock yourself and go back to Lightning. USB-C is available in every home, and the question “Do you have an old iPhone charger?” is already pretty much starting to cheer up when guests come. Yes, and it’s easier to take one cable with you on the road than to collect a whole set.
Screen in iPhone SE 4
Let’s focus on the screen of the iPhone SE 4 and the design of the new iPhone. Here are the main contradictions. It is already known for sure that the device will be made in an aluminum case with straight edges, which immediately becomes its plus for its low weight and reliability. But there are still a lot of questions about the display. It will be a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. That’s just from the iPhone 14 or iPhone 15 is still unclear.
Let me remind you that the first one has classic bangs under Face ID, and the second one has Dynamic Island. Different sources give different information, and here you just have to wait for the moment when Apple will introduce a new smartphone. Of course, I would like to get a more modern “dynamic island”, but I want to leave Android so much that I can easily put up with bangs. Despite the fact that now my second smartphone is the iPhone XR and I have no complaints about this type of cutout.
Price of iPhone SE 4
Well, now about the most interesting thing: the price of the iPhone SE 4. The current generation iPhone SE 3 retails for 429$. Naturally, taking into account all the improvements, the price list for the new SE 4 is guaranteed to be higher. It is predicted in the range from 450 to 500 dollars. That’s a hundred bucks cheaper than the iPhone 14, two hundred cheaper than the iPhone 15, and three hundred cheaper than the iPhone 16. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the device, it will be practically the twin brother of the iPhone 16 with only minor reservations in the form of bangs and a single camera.
As you have already understood, these parameters are not key for me, so what is the point of overpaying for iPhones that are currently being sold? It is much more logical to wait for the iPhone SE 4 and choose it. I’m pretty sure that this will be a really cool choice not only for me, but also for those who want an iPhone, but at the same time expect to save a little money. It remains to wait a little while when Apple will introduce us to the new iPhone. Judging by the information of well-known insiders, this will happen very soon.
